how to retrieve "Cut" Notepad entry_Accidentally Saved Word doc data in clipboard over "Cut" Notepad data

Hi DLew#1, I am sorry, you will not be able to retrieve that Econ Note data if it does not appear when you paste . . .

Notepad is the most basic of Text Editors and can only hold one item on the clipboard, if it is not there, it id gone, sorry !

Problem Description: I spent ~45 mins typing up Managerial Econ notes for my MBA class in Notepad, and wanted to Cut & Paste my Econ notes to a Word doc (.docx file) to make my notes more readable. After cutting (used keyboard shortcut: control + "X" function),
I exited Notepad - there was NO prompt asking me if I wanted to save or close without saving - and opened a New Word doc. Like a fool, I decided to change the layout of my Word doc PRIOR to pasting Notepad's Econ notes.

**HELP REQUESTED: I set up New Word doc's layout settings (e.g., margins, entered Page #s with text) and without thinking Saved Word doc's Page # info I typed; thus losing the Econ notes from Notepad.

HOW DO I RETRIEVE MY NOTES FROM NOTEPAD TO PASTE INTO SAID NEW WORD DOC?? Surely the "clipboard" has my Econ Notes saved somewhere...I just don't remember where to locate "clipboard" past data.

Are you using mail app or Outlook from office suite for mails?


When you copy or cut or move data, it is held temporarily in an invisible portion of memory. This is called as the ClipBoard. The clipboard enables applications to transfer data or between applications or within an application
