Windows 10: Power light

Power light flashing, indicating that my HP laptop is on sleep mode, but when I press some buttons to turn the screen on, it won't turn on and button will continue to flash. I don't know if there is a question out there that is similar or the same. Thanks.

The light on the power button stays on even after shut down.
