    Power Management tab missing from Device Manager since 2004 update.


    From past experience I always had to ensure the 'allow the computer to turn off this device' was unticked within the Device Manager for Intel Wireless Bluetooth. If not my bluetooth mouse would continually disconnect.


    Since the 2004 update the Power Management tab is missing altogether for Intel Bluetooth. So now my mouse continually disconnects every 10-15 minutes and I have to frantically move it around to try to get it to 'wake up' and connect. At times it has taken the mouse over 60 seconds to finally connect again.


    Looking online others are having the same problem with various bluetooth devices because of this. I have tried the fixes other people have posted, including looking for the Power Management tab via Control Panel/Devices and Printers, changing the registry setting for CsEnabled, changing power options in advanced power settings. None has made any difference. Windows is not allowing me to rollback the update.


    Today I gave up and started using an old wired mouse. But why should I have to? Why have Microsoft removed settings? Do they consider the effect this can have?


    Anyway, lesson learnt. From now on I will not allow updates until I am very sure of the consequences.

    Hi, some other ideas:

    Please see both #68 (the fix you've tried) and in particular the comment in #69 here:
    Allow or Prevent Devices to Wake Computer in Windows 10

    One such thread suggested an old ethernet drive could give rise to the tab missing.

    Some threads suggest that anything preventing sleep may conflict with this.
