    "power options" settings

i have a new laptop running win 10 home. i have learned from sites to use the power options menu to change my settings to "power saver" to increase battery life for my laptop. i know that this can be changed manually from the taskbar or setting menu, but does windows ever automatically change this setting? for example, if i am in power saver mode because i am just browsing on chrome, will the pc change if i decide to load up a game and play? if not, will being in this mode "throttle" the settings or restrict the power of the pc? thanks for your help!

    :)
