  1. Power Options

On Windows 10, in the Power & Sleep options, I've set the screen to turn off after 5 minutes on battery and 45 minutes plugged in, while I've set the computer to go into sleep mode after 15 minutes on battery, and 1 hour plugged in. However, after 5 minutes of inactivity while plugged in (the plug light is on on my laptop, indicating it is plugged into the wall), it goes straight into sleep mode, doesn't even do just the screen off thing first. Why is it doing this?

It's frustrating, because it's happened twice now that my computer went into sleep mode while I was reading something online, even though it's plugged in and it didn't take more than 5 minutes for it to completely go down into sleep mode, despite my settings! It doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I got this laptop back from repairs a few months ago, where before I had Windows 8 and the power settings were working just fine then, and since then, they installed Windows 10 on my machine and the power settings were set to never have the laptop go into screen off mode or sleep mode whether plugged in or on battery. I made this change to the power settings recently, because I don't want my computer on indefinitely if I leave it sitting, but I also want it to not ignore the actual settings that I put in.

    :)
