  1. Power plan keeps changing

So this has been happening for a couple of weeks now, but it was tolerable. I was just playing Hades (with the best build I ever had, right before the boss I could never beat) and Windows decided that the "Balanced" power plan would replaced my "High Performance" plan that I explicitly set (many, many times) and when I stepped away for 15 minutes, I came back to my PC off...because you know..._gotta save that power that I didn't ask for_. Oh, and Hades didn't save, which meant I have to start a new run (goodbye awesome build).

So as I wipe the salt from my tears, how do I fix this? I _never_ had a problem with power plans before; I could usually set them as I want and leave them until I make a new PC. Like I said above, Windows have recently just disregarded whatever plan I select. In the power settings, it shows that I have "High Performance" selected. But if I go to additional power settings, its _never_ high performance. Its usually balanced and sometimes I have seen "Power Saving" selected.

I done a scan with MalwareBytes and nothing showed up. I'm at a lost here...

    Power plan?

Upon checking, it seems that there's nothing wrong with your system. It is usual that you have to double-click your mouse before your monitor wakes up.

For the meantime, we suggest changing the power plan by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + S.
    • Type in Power Settings.
    • On the pop-up window, choose Additional power settings.
    • Select High performance.

After changing the power plan, we suggest that you monitor the changes made and check if that will work for you.

Get back to us if you need further help.
