Windows 10: Power plans dissappeared after latest big update

I switch form power saver to high performance. When I work I want high performance, when I just tinker or type some text files I don't need that, so I switch to power saver. I was on power saver, I check power plans and notice `high performance` missing. I switch to `balanced` and then `power saver` disappears also.

I believe this has to do with latest big update. Any idea on how to get my power plans back? Or what is the alternative that Windows provides now for doing that?

n8 wants usb-connection?

Thanks for your advice. I did as told... after reboot - update - loaded back up... and after 3 minutes phone "wants usb-cable". I did as asked - put usb cable - failure with connection - took it away.... and to my big surprise, since has problem dissappeared.

 

E72 - Ovi Maps - Zoom Problem in Water Areas

I am sorry if I am making any re-post here.



I updated Thailand country maps two days back on my E72 using Nokia Suite. The problem is when I zoom in, after some point, all the water areas (Rivers, Sea) dissappear and the maps show as if these areas are actually land formations, while I know there
is water.



If I keep zooming out, after some point, rivers and sea appear as they should. If I zoom back in, they would dissappear again. Here are details:



Phone: Nokia E72

Phone Software: Updated (as per the latest version)

Maps: Thailand (as per latest version)

Nokie Suite: Updated (as per latest version)



I wonder if there is a solution to this problem.

I see this in Control Panel, build 16299.125... are you missing something there?




However, clicking Additional power settings in Settings did briefly show me High Performance which disappeared- is that what you mean?

If you are seeing something like this




then click on the little arrow symbol in the bottom right next to Show additional plans




All the other plans will now be shown. Notice also that switching to a different plan alters where they are displayed.




If this is not the problem you are trying to describe then I suggest posting some screenshots to explain what the problem is.

Ver 1709 hides all the power plans except Balanced and any Custom plans you have made. So if you saw what wert posted under the line Microsoft's "confusion tactic" you did not, at the time, have any custom plans. Ver 1709 treats Balanced & your custom plans in the way you are used to so you should not have any particular problems.

However, do note that Ver 1709 introduced "power mode" control - you might see this in action by clicking on the power icon in your taskbar and there is a discussion of it in Change Power Mode Level [slider] - TenForums
