Windows 10: Power point crashes

When inserting certain hi-res photos of roughly 6 MB, PP tries to open the Design suggestions Any way to turn that off? it is sooo annoying, and then crashes.


I've made presentations with these large photos before, but this just started happening today 11 September 2020. Was there a recent update that limits the size of photos in presentations?


Is the annoying design suggestion trying to take over the computer? or even the world?


Please help! Hi-res images are important to my work, and not being able to use them will have negative impacts.


Running Office 365 on windows 10 64 bit processor and 16 gigs of RAM.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

1. What happens when you use Cortana?

2. Did you enable Cortana after setting language?

If you have not enable Cortana, I would suggest that you follow the steps below and check if you a response from it.

• Open Cortana
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window
• Go to settings.
• At the bottom of the window, you will see the 'Hey Cortana' setting that you need to enable.
