Windows 10: powerdown accidentally when upgrading to WIN10, build 1903 from 1803

I had a pretty bad "squirrel!" moment as I left my laptop to go and make cookies, came back and there was a message that said, something to the effect of (yes I did NOT take any time to READ, as it's fundamental), "powering down in 27:32 and very quickly another pop up window that I believe had something to do with keeping or discarding files vanished (I'm sure my overzealousness) and suddenly I realized I had hit the restart now or the power down button and upon restarting the PCLaptop, there of course was NO update showing, not even any error codes! Upon looing in the settings and about, the old build number still hangs in there.

I went ahead and RE-Downloaded the upgrade. However, after reviewing SEVERAL cases similar to mine, I noticed that I could


#1. How bad of a squirrel moment did I have and what are the possible outcomes? I realize none of the squirrel moments are in my favor!

#2. Is it possible for me to uninstall then reinstall WIN10 or is that for the professionals? I'm what you'd refer to as, "the example of one who needs computers for dummies and even then, should be taking it to Geeks on Wheels or whatever they are calling themselves now-a-days.


#3. During the update, the CHOOSE WHAT TO KEEP box, briefly appeared then vanished....to NO fault of mine!

#4. then CHECKING FOR UPDATES BOX APPEARED - taking another 15-30 minutes.



computer started on it's own bypassing ALL buttons allowing me to accept anything or make any changes....


WHAT DO I DO now my computer starts up but most everything is frozen


I also accidentally wiped my recovery D: drive! and somehow (IDK honestly) my USB drive became my primary partition. My C: drive still being the primary, among others as well: it appears unaffected. YES a carpenter tried to build a car motor and I have devastated the car, possibly into extinction! eh hem

Advice? anyone? I'd be most appreciative if there are, please refrain from too HARSH remarks, or statements about being a complete idiot, as I am already well aware of this and it won't fix my issues at hand!

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

 

Upgrading from version 1803 to version 1903

I cannot get my Windows 10 desktop to install feature upgrade version 1903. I'm stuck on 1803 and can't find a way to upgrade to 1903.
