    Powerline ethernet connection to router in other room.


    I set up an ethernet connection via powerline through electric sock to the router in another room, hub of my home wi-fi network. Could it be visible to others in the building around me?Should I take any precautions or have settings set in a peculiar way?

    Just run a network cable from your router/modem to your room somehow. Under the floor, the ceiling. Or use a Powerline adapter like newtekie suggested. Or your wireless

    Well Ethernet isn't an option atm, and powerline networking depends on the wires you already have in the house (which will be very old) have any suggestions on top notch wireless network adapters?

    Using a router to connect PC with Ethernet

    Powerline can go up to 1200 mbps and is more stable. I'd take it any day over wireless.
