  1. Powershell & PWSH

As a new user trying to learn different aspects of Windows Microsoft Platform. I’m left with some confusion. Is there some profound reasoning behind when pwsh download is installed it is not amalgamated with Powershell automatically or are they kept separate to keep system stability of Microsoft Core elements because pwsh is cross platform? It seems the syntax for most cmdlets are similar or the same . The variable is ever so slight and I can’t understand reasoning why these have not been repurposed or tied in to make both programs of similar nature collated and seamless. This would only seem

[Windows Update KB5029351] cmd/powershell/pwsh/windows terminal/explorer/emoji and clipboard history panel question

[Windows Update KB5029351] cmd/powershell/pwsh/windows terminal/explorer/emoji and clipboard history panel question

I have got the latest update KB5030219. But this question is still if I have KB5029351 update. When I remove this update, everything is ok.

    In a brief:

    * cmd/powershell/powershell core(pwsh)/windows terminal start alone very very slow

    * execute cmd/powershell is quick, pwsh is slow.

    * explorer go to directory very very slow

    * emoji and clipboard history panel can't get nothing.

    First, I start cmd.exe/powershell.exe/powershell core/windows terminal alone.

    cmd : 4 min

    powershell.exe : 2 min

    powershell core : 7min 30s(core 5min 30s, pwsh 2min)

    windows terminal: more time

And then, I use alacrity terminal to execute cmd/powershell/pwsh and `explorer [path]`.(open specify directory)

    cmd : short

    powershell : short

    powershell : 90000 ms(1.5 min)

    explorer [path]: more time

By the way, open explorer.exe is quick, but go to any directory is very very slow.

Lastly, emoji and clipboard history panel:

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:
