Powershell Running at 3am when power is disconnected to the desktop - hacked?

Hi, I'm quite new to all this. I have some sensitive information on my computer and am worried someone is coming in a copying the data. I unplug my desktop every night. I search event viewer to see if anyone has logged in or used the computer. My questions are:1. Can Microsoft Powershell run when the computer has no power?2. Is there any other way to see if people are downloading off your hard drive or hacking into your computer?Sorry if I sound paranoid but I'm worried that my computer is being accessed after hours. Thank you and any advice is appreciated.Cheers.

    :)

  2. Display Turn Off in Power Options Causing USB Disconnection

Hello everyone, I'm encountering a peculiar issue related to the Power Options settings on my Windows machine (Version 22H2). Whenever Windows automatically turns off my display, it seems to inadvertently cause the devices connected to my USB hub to disconnect. Here's a more detailed description of the problem:
    1. Display Turn Off Issue: After Windows turns off the display, my USB-connected devices disconnect.
    2. Wake-Up Login Requirement: When I wake up the monitor with a mouse movement, I'm prompted to log back into Windows, as if the system had entered seep mode or logged off.
    Steps I've Taken So Far:
    • Set Power Options to never enter sleep mode.
    • Disabled hibernation and USB selective suspend.
    • Restored default power settings using "powercfg -restoredefaultschemes".
    • Imported power options from "Default_Power_Plans.zip" found on this forum.
    • Analyzed settings with PowerSettingExplorer, but nothing unusual was noted.
    • Checked the event log and Sleep Study report ("pwrcfg -systemsleepdiagnostics") for any signs of the machine being put to sleep, but found none.
Interestingly, this problem does not occur when I manually turn off the monitor. It only happens when Windows does it automatically. Also, this issue is not isolated to one machine; it's happening on several, which leads me to believe it's not a hardware issue. I'm looking for any suggestions on how to further diagnose and resolve this issue. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

  3. USB 3.0 randomly disconnecting and reconnecting, not power config

So I have a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10, and an external USB 3 HDD. If I plug in the HDD, a process will begin. First the drive will appear with the drive letter only, and be unreadable, but in an unusual way. Any software that attempts to interact with it will hang until it either crashes or the drive is disconnected. During this stage the drive may disconnect and reconnect multiple times. If left in for long enough, the drive will finally show up with it's name, and be readable. However it still disconnects and reconnects.

    Steps I have tried:

    • Disabling the power saving features for all USB devices in Device Manager
    • Reinstalling all USB drivers
    • Testing hard disk on my desktop computer (where it works fine).
    • Powering down the drive for an extended time before trying again

Powershell Running at 3am when power is disconnected to the desktop - hacked?

OS drive disconnecting while in use

Okay so my SSD (listed in specs) keeps disconnecting itself while my desktop is in use. What happens is I'll be sitting there and suddenly progams stop working and crashing. Then Task Managerwwon't come up, followed by more programs and background services and then a BSOD.

When it reboots the SSD isn't listed until I disconnect the power and boot it. Works for a bit, then drops again.

Halp plz. I'm missing out on WCG crunching.
