Windows 10: PowerToys update problems

Discus and support PowerToys update problems in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have used PowerToys for a while and as I like some of its features I tried to download the recent update from GitHub, resulting in a humungous mess....     I have used PowerToys for a while and as I like some of its features I tried to download the recent update from GitHub, resulting in a humungous mess. I have tried numerous times but keep getting a message saying that the required package is not available on the OS (among other things). Thorough searches (for example using Everything) list a page full of PowerToys files, some being duplicates, presumably resulting from my repeated downloads. I have tried starting afresh by using power uninstallers such as Revo Uninstaller, without success. After Revo and others I have found that many files remain and have had to resort to deleting them individually (a few wont delete) .... this is the 'mess' I referred to. Before I try one more time I thought I should seek advice, as I am anticipating that the same thing will probably result, endlessly. and I will no longer have the old or the updated version of PowerToys.
