  1. PPTP VPN won't connect

So today I decided to use Windows built-in VPN where you get the IP address, username and password from a certain website. You see, sometimes when I use the PPTP protocol it will randomly fail to connect for a day and goes back to normal in the next day. The error message is "A Connection To The Remote Computer Could Not Be Established."Using L2TP VPN works but very slow for some reason. I've also tried reinstalling the drivers and disabling my proxy but to no avail.

    :)

  2. PPTP VPN Trouble

I am trying to connect an at&t (formerly Cingular) 8125 to a PPTP VPN endpoint. I am able to browse using the isp.cingular access point, but when I try to connect to the VPN it consistently fails.

    The Error:

At first, I received an error to check my username & password. But after I got isp.cingular to work, now the "connecting" dialog just disappears. When I click the top of the screen to see the active connections, I see only "Cingular GPRS" - the modem connection
that uses isp.cingular. In other words, I do not see the VPN connection in the list of connected devices.

    My Troubleshooting:

I tried to connect over wifi after testing from a Windows XP laptop. The laptop connected to the VPN without problems. But the 8125 did not. I logged the packets that were transmitted and saw that there were GRE packets transmitted to the phone, but NONE
    from the phone.

    My Questions:

Is this a hardware issue with the phone? A software issue with Windows Mobile? A compatibility issue with the PPTP endpoint?

    Also worth asking:

Does Windows Mobile support MPPE? We use an IAS server to perform radius authentication to a Watchguard PPTP endpoint. Are there specific changes that need to be made in IAS to allow WM to connect?

I really hope someone out there can shed some light for me on even one of these questions.

    Thanks!

    -Pete

    Vpn ( trusted Vpn)

I use Nordvpn. You can connect 6 devices. You can choose servers by country or by a list of each server in each country, use UDP or HTTP, PPtP, L2TP. Double VPN, TOR via VPN. There`s are apps for android and iphones as well as DNS leak protection.
