    Hi Community,


    I installed the latest pre-release update and my printers no longer work. My main printer is an HP LaserJet Professional P1606dn. I tried to use the HP Print & Scan Doctor which usually resolves the printer problems caused by the updates but this time it doesn't help. I deleted, got a fresh download of the printer driver, reinstalled it and ( . . . at least now) the printer is showing up on the "Doctor" but does NOT show up on the Device Manager list of printers and, although when I ask it to print a document or even a test page I immediately get a "Printer Error" message that the printer can't find the document.

    I don't know what else I can tell you at this point. The technician at the Help Desk Chat isn't trained to deal with pre-release issues and was of no use whatsoever other than to give me the link to the Community.

    18252 is an Insider build. You need to ask Insider questions in the

    everybody is talking about the October 2018 update (which I don't think I got) today I updated to build 18252 from build 17763

    heres my question....

    1. what is the oct update

    2. does build 18252 overwrite the oct update
