    Preparing Automatic Repair - Stuck - Not loading Windows

    After a recent update, and a disconnect suddenly, PC is stuck in "Preparing Automatic Repair". I rebooted several times including 3 times at on/off restart to try to get into Safe Mode. No success. Should my hard drive light be on while "Preparing Automatic
    Repair" is in progress? And, how long automatic repair takes to complete? How can I get to safe mode to do at least attempt a recovery from last operating image? Appreciate some feedback. Thanks!

    Taking long time to for preparing automatic repair

    When I was about to open my window, I was not able to. A notice that there was some problem with my PC and it will be repaired automatically by automatically shutting down and getting the PC restarted. But the "preparing automatic repair " is taking a
    long time. It has been a day already and yet nothing happened. I cannot do anything except shut down and restart to set he same notice again.

    computer screen turns black after it shows preparing automatic repair

    How long did you leave the "Preparing automatic repair" screen on for? Some times these steps can take some time to carry out and it may need leaving on overnight to complete.
