  1. Preparing automatic repair to black screen or Blue screen

Hi, I am really struggling to fix my computer HP windows 10.

Originally my computer was running very slow with its memory at 100% so I assumed there were problems with files etc in my computer. So i ran chkdsk command in command prompt.

My computer began running the check and after it had completed, it went onto the preparing automatic repair screen no loading dots and has been on it for over a day. So I followed advice written on here however I still keep running into a problem. To open the boot up menu I heard that you had to turn your computer off and on again three times. If I try to open up the boot menu, it turns on and off successfully twice but then on the third try it reverts immediately back to the preparing automatic repair screen again however with the loading dots. After a while the screen turns black with a cursor on and does not respond to any keyboard commands. So I turned it back off and on again. The HP loading screen starts but is shortly followed by the blue screen with the error message of ntfs_file_system and the computer restarts. Upon restarting it goes straight back into the preparing automatic repair screen with no loading dots and the cycle continues.

I have no way of accessing the boot up menu to enter safe mode etc or restore the system. I would be grateful if someone could help me

    :)

Black screen after ‘preparing automatic repair.’

Thank you very much for the reply. Unfortunately, I don’t know if it’s my doing something wrong, but I’ll do the steps to boot up the ASO menu and it won’t appear. I’ll reboot three times and leave it to load at the third, but it will do the same as before except for one thing- load for a while, then seemingly reboot on its own quickly (which it didn’t do before the ASO reboots), before going directly into ‘preparing automatic repair’ followed by the black screen shortly after. Same as before, leaving the black screen alone won’t do anything.

Preparing automatic repair black screen afterwards stuck

Fixing this gaming PC for a friend. His computer gets stuck on the windows logo with the dotted spinning circle. In the past to fix this i've done a startup repair. But this time, the PC starts the Preparing Automatic Repair, then screen goes black, where normally it should be showing diagnosing your pc before loaded the Automatic Repair screen.

What should I attempt to try next?
