My Goal: I do not want Facebook to receive personally identifiable cookie information when I am logged out of Facebook under my Google Chrome web browser. I do not want cookies associated with the web browser of Facebook to remain active after I have log-out of Facebook.

Which of the following configuration settings shown below using Google Chrome must I turn on or off or remove or otherwise. To prevent Facebook from keeping tabs (spying/snooping) on any of my web activity after I am logged out of Facebook?

Under Google Settings Under Cookies:

chrome://settings/content/cookies

Allow Sites To Save And Read Cookie Data (On or Off)

Keep Local Data Only Until You Quit Your Browser (On or Off)

Block Third-Party Cookies (On or Off)

Then I am given ONE of the three following options:

1. Block Sites: Add A Site (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No)

2. Clear Site Cookies On Exit (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No)

3. Allow Sites (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No)

All Cookies And Site Data (Remove All Shown - Option) (Yes or No)

Facebook - Eight Cookies Current Shown (Locally Stored Data): Do I delete (Yes or No)

Facebook - Cache Storage, File System, Database Storage, Local Storage: Do I delete all (Yes or No)

Then I am given ONE of the three following options:

1. Allow local data to be set (recommended by Opera) (Yes or No)

2. Keep local data only until I quit my browser (Yes or No)

3. Block sites from setting any data (Yes or No)

Block third-party cookies and site data (Yes or No)

Manage Cookie & Data Exceptions: Do I add Facebook (facebook.com) here (Yes or No)
Once added (under: Manage Cookie & Data Exceptions) I am given the option to "allow/behavior" or "clear/behavior" on exit or to block/behavior. Which one should I choose?

Under All Cookies And Site Data - do I delete ALL of Facebook cookies shown (Yes or No)

Is there a way to lock folders on win 10?

i wanna lock some folders to prevent snooping can i do it with windows?

 

How do I remove the Video, Music and Picture apps from my windows phone?

Then how do I prevent these apps from snooping all over the place and constrain them to certain folders only?

Allow Sites To Save And Read Cookie Data (On or Off) - On as you don't want to keep flipping to this setting and some sites need their cookies to work properly. You can always experiment.

Keep Local Data Only Until You Quit Your Browser (On or Off) - OFF - This is your call but if you delete all local data every time you close chrome you lose the benefits of cookies to remember specifics. It does get rid of all tracking cookies but things like keep me signed in don't work.

Block Third-Party Cookies (On or Off) - ​Off, if Facebook applies a cookie to work then you don't want one from some affiliate or third party. I always run with this off. Even with off Tracking cookies get stored somehow.

Then I am given ONE of the three following options:

1. Block Sites: Add A Site (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No) - This is to Block a specific site, you can try blocking Facebook and seeing if it works. Not sure that all cookies that may get stored have Facebook in name which would defeat this setting.

2. Clear Site Cookies On Exit (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No) - This deletes specific sites, guess this would work if you knew all cookies had facebook in name. Again I block third party but still get a list of cookies from places I didn't visit.

3. Allow Sites (Optional); Do I add Facebook here (Yes or No) - This says you will allow cookies when on a site. I assume this is used if you answered no to very first question about allow sites to store and read.
All Cookies And Site Data (Remove All Shown - Option) (Yes or No) - This section allows you to delete specific cookies, way to much work to enter everyday and delete and even more challenging to know what others to delete. If you delete all I know some sites that use keep me signed in won't work. Maybe you store passwords so not as big an issue.

Facebook - Eight Cookies Current Shown (Locally Stored Data): Do I delete (Yes or No) - Couldn't hurt but you will have to sign in on next visit

Facebook - Cache Storage, File System, Database Storage, Local Storage: Do I delete all (Yes or No) - I see no harm, I remove all stored data every so often.

I think what you want and would be way easier to administer is run in Incognito mode. CRTL + Shift + N. Then use Facebook and when you are finished close the window. Nothing is supposed to be kept, history, cache, cookies etc.

Pretty much every browser has a private mode.

Adobe Flash can also store "cookies" and you have to delete them in a different process. Not sure if Facebook uses any Flash.

Lets see if other members agree with my definitions and suggestions.

I just found a Google Chrome - free extension regarding Facebook snooping/tracking. Hopefully will immediately resolve my on-going problem.

A free extension called "Facebook Disconnect" blocks Facebook tracking in third-party sites (stop Facebook tracking). And allows the user to surf web faster, more private, more secure when using Google Chrome.

"Facebook Disconnect" completely blocks the social network’s ability to track your account around the web. Like buttons, share buttons, Facebook comment threads, Facebook logins—all these now-ubiquitous adornments will be nuked entirely.
