    Is it possible to deprotect your wonderful MsMpEng.exe process?The worthwhile solution to your problem would be to have the 'core affinity' set to the unused last cores of the processors die, and set the process priority to real time. This would allow the software to respond quickly enough to matter at all.Also you could, if you cared about anyone other than prosecutable stateless personhoodless money you could implement the Kernel Memory Write Protection bit in the registry that Mark Russinovich had mentioned exists.
