    Prevent Windows Update after reboot

    Hello folks! *Biggrin

I had some issue with Windows, connection related, and then I resolved the problem after refreshing Windows leaving my data, my apps are deleted.

So now the thing is I had to install all the apps again. After installing PowerIso, it asked me to restart my pc to use it properly. In the process of restarting, it started automatically updating my Windows, and I don't want that, because I think that was the reason of my internet problems I previously had. I think the second update installed some kind of app or driver that blocked my connection, and I don't want that to happen again.

Now I don't want to turn my pc on, because it starts updating again! Is there a way to prevent the update, some hotkey maybe, or even if I try to bypass the update, will I be able to postpone or disable the updates forever? Or is there a way to downgrade the version after the update (I doubt it will brink my connection back)? I think this version of 10 is fitting my requirements for now.

Thank you good people, any suggestion will help, of course I will be happy to hear 'ya. I shall also check some tutorials/tips on this topic as well.

    Thank you very much.

    :)

    Prevent Windows Update after reboot

Hi there and welcome to the forum *Biggrin

If you think the issue is driver related Win10 updates then do the following:
Right click on the start button
Click on System>Advanced system settings>'Hardware' tab>Device Installation Settings
Then enable the radio button for 'No, let me choose what to do'
Then enable the radio button for 'Never install driver software from Windows Update'
Click on the 'Save Changes' button

That could be handy, but currently if I turn on my pc, update will start automatically and Windows 10 will be updated for the first time, I am wondering how to bypass it, or if impossible - how to bring the older version back. I just got rid of one previous problem and I don't want another one. Thanks for reply.
