Windows 10: Print Spooler Service Not Working +Printer Not Showing Up in Device Manager

Hello,A couple weeks ago, I started having issues with printing. It affects not just my Epson ET-4850 printer, but also the virtual printer functions Print to PDF and OneNote Printer. I don't really use the virtual printers, only the Epson. I'm running a Windows 11 environment.List of issues:All printers except Print to PDF have disappeared from the printer selections when I go to print.When I go to Printers in Settings, my Epson printer shows up, but it shows as "idle" even though I've manually ensured it's "awake".When I try to print a test page from Settings, I get the error message: "Ope

Windows 10 networked printers not showing in Devices and Printers

Hi,

Please let us know, How do you have the printer connected to your computer? It is plugged into USB, on the network, or some other way?

Usually all available printers will be shown directly under Device and Printers.
Moreover it also show the status of the printer. Not sure how this is happening. Suggest you to check this issue by removing and re-installing the printer.

You may try the following methods and check if it helps.

Normally this will happen if the Print Spooler service is not running but then your local machine would display with a red indicator in Print Management.

Method 1:

Please try steps below check if it helps.

• Press Windows + R, type services.msc
  and press Enter.
• Find Print Spooler service and double-click.
• Make sure Print Spooler's
  Startup type set to Automatic.
• The Service status of the Print Spooler should be
  Running.
• If not, can you "Start" the Print Spooler service.
  

If the issues still persist, refer to the below methods.

Method 2: I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2.Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

3. ExpandPrinte Queues.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Uninstall.

5. Restart your Computer.

If the issue still persist, then I suggest you to download and install the latest printer driver from the manufacture website.

Print Spooler Service Stopping

Drugged up on Pain Med's, exhausted from barely any sleep for four days and trying to type on a iPhnone. The USB driver and queue can end up stalling. Have you checked the print queue to see if there are jobs stalled or in the Print Spooler folder? Also grab the Process Explorer by Sysinternals from Microsoft.com. It will allow you to see the Sub Process, especially under the System process. See the following:

Clear Printer Spooler Files

• Click Start, type Services.msc in Search box or Click WIN+Q, type “Services.msc” in the open box.
• Services can be found under Computer Management on older operation system (Windows XP)
• Double-click Printer Spooler in the list.
• Click Stop and click OK.
• Open C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.

I have the problem of " Active Directory Domain Services is unavailable" " Service Print Spooler error 1920" " Problem with Printer Spooler" and lots more.

I tried lots of but from here Method 1 instantly solved my problem.
