Windows 10: Printer grayed out

Hello,I’m new user of windows 10, and I tried to install a printer and it’s connected via Ethernet LAN, but the windows keep add it as a grayed out icon, and it didn’t give me the opportunity to define the ip port number since the icon is already gray and it seems as if it’s not activated or something.Is there is any solution for this problem as it faced me in two devices today while I was trying to setting up the new local network.Thanks in advance.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press and hold or right-click the printer you want to use, and then tap or click
  Set as default printer.
