    Hello,

    Tried for hours to connect my printer on windows 10 that works perfectly well, all in one, on my old Surface RT 8.1


    I don't get it. Uninstalled the printer, and maybe by chance reinstalled it, downloaded the driver. When I click print windows 10 asks me to save the file I want to print!!! Nothing's printing. The printer also indicated missing paper. Wifi is blinking…


    Is this this printer still compatible with windows 10?

    HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 2540 series - Fout 0x80240017

    Today I installed the latest version of the HP Deskjet 2540 all in one from the HP site.

    Than once more I ran the Windows Update Troubleshooter and it fixed something.

    At last I searched for updates in Windows 10 on my computer, but again our old friend "HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 2540 series - Fout 0x80240017" came back to stay.

    I hope one of the future updates from Windows 10 solves my problem.

    The printer works...

    Every time the following update in Windows 10 is rejected:

    HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 2540 series - Fout 0x80240017

    This is strange while everything is still working fine

    There is no issue with the printer. The problem is with windows update continually failing to install an update for the HP printer.

    The error message is:

    HP - Printers - HP Deskjet 2540 series - Error 0x80240017
