Windows 10: Printer icon greyed out on the Share tab on the ribbon of the explorer

I have a user who uses the Printer icon to print files straight from the Documents file explorer window (Windows 10). However it seems the Printer icon is greyed out when trying to print certain files. In this case the user cannot print a .txt file or a PDF. Office files are ok, the Printer icon is not greyed out when selecting those.

Is there any way to fix this so the printer icon is visible?

File Explorer Ribbons with Home Tabs greyed out


Want to say thank you for your time to reply. Yes I did this as your suggestion earlier today and still have the same problem with greyed out in Home Tabs under File Explorer.

 

Changing Explorer Ribbon icons


Hello,

I'm struggling to change some of the Eplorer's Ribbon icons. I've successfully changed icons for:
This PC –> Ribbon —> System tab –> Open Settings and System properties. Those icons were located in shell32.dll

1. However I absolutely cannot change icon for This PC –> Ribbon —> System –> Access media
I found a similar icon in imageres.dll and replaced it without any success: the drop-down icon in "Connect to a media server" changed but not the main one.

2. Another icon I cannot find is on Sharing tab of Ribbon –> Stop sharing (lock symbol).

3. And last one is on This PC, select internal drive –> Ribbon –> Manage tab –> BitLocker

The reason I wanna do it is @ 200% DPI scaling those icons look damaged and pixelated or just out of place by design.

Windows 10 - How to disable Share tab in File Explorer Ribbon?

On Windows 10, I want to hide the Share tab in the File Explorer Ribbon. Is there any registry key, group policy, or file modification that will let me do this? Please note that I don't want to get rid of the Ribbon altogether, just this particular tab.

If the tab can't be removed, is there any way to at least remove the Zip icon from it? I am trying to weed out all traces of the (terrible) built-in Zip support from Windows. On Windows 7, this could be done by deleting a few registry keys. However, after deleting these on Windows 10, the built-in Zip functionality is still triggered if the Zip button on the Share tab is used. Alternatively, can the Zip button be made to utilize 7-Zip instead?
