Windows 10: Printer offline Wifi not showing

This is a bit of a headscratcher for me - my office desktop Dell Optiplex 7010 has been set up for nearly a year and it was smooth sailing to this point. After I came back from lunch today it couldn't find our wifi network anymore. It does pick up all the others around us just fine. Tried working my way through troubleshooting, windows key+r and reactivating the windows update point in the services msc worked for a few minutes before I was offline again.


I gave up at that point and went on to wrap up my day but I also can't print, says printer HP Officejet Pro 8610 is offline. I can access both wifi and the printer just fine from other computers, all via wifi as well. Just from this one computer I can't. And again, it is showing all other wifi networks, just not mine.

Hey guys,

I'm having a slight issue with one of my printers in that it's showing offline and I can't print to it.

It's a Datamax label printer which is connected to my network via a Netgear print server, this has then be added to one of my servers for sharing etc.

So far I've tried the below.

- Classic on/off.
- Removing from server and re-adding.
- Ensuring that under port configuration SNMP Status is disabled.
- Assigning to different IP.
- Restarting Print Spooler.

I can ping it fine and the printer itself is letting me do manual test prints using its interface, but no matter what I cannot get it to stop showing up as offline and allowing me to print to it over the network. I should add that it's worked fine for the past year.

Any suggestions?

However, please let us know:

• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Which build version of Windows is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  

I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the HP article

Canon printer wifi trouble

Set a static IP on the printer else each time it switches off and on may get different ip which may not function correctly
Try
Delete the Printer after setting static ip

Devices and printer
>add printer
>>Add local printer (not network even though on wifi)
>>>Create new port - click standard Tcp/Ip
>>>>enter ip address of printer that set before and any port name
Select the printer driver from list

Try a test print to see if working then switch off and on and see if come back online

If still stays offline ,Open printer in Devices and printer
Click printer
untick use offline
turn printer off and On

See if comes back online

Network Printer can either be set by Ip address or Printer network name
Static ip always the best to set
