• When did the issue start? The issue started 4 days ago
• Did you make any changes on your computer before the issue started? None that I am aware of.
• Have you tried using different browsers and check if the issue persists? I have tried different browsers and I receive the same error
• Have you tried checking if there are available updates for your Windows 10? I have also tried to update the windows 10 machine, I did that on Friday, a day after the problem started

While reinstalling the printer and trying to print a test page I am receiving the error.

A user is experiencing an issue where when they try to print to the shared printer Chrome stops working and needs to restart. They are connected to an HP2030 shared printer with the appropriate driver for said
printer. The computer this user is using is Windows 10 pro, and they are connecting to the printer through a Windows 7 Pro computer. There are also a few other users connected to this same printer without any issue. It is just one user that is experiencing
the issue. They are receiving the error:

Chrome has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

While reinstalling the printer and trying to print a test page I am receiving the error.

I have tried the simple things like restarting the computer, reinstalling Chrome, reinstalling the printer and printer driver, update windows and the drivers. I have also tried to reinstall the printer on
the host computer. Nothing has worked

I have tried posting to stackexchange and the hp forums without any luck.

The thing I am a little confused on is why this is happening recently when they have not had the issue for the past 4 months or so.

When I tried to change a colour cartridge on my Epson XP-100 printer (via its maintenance function), I used to get the message "function discovery print provider stopped working". This was a fdprint.DLL problem and the only way to fix it (after many wasted
hours looking for and trying different approchs) was to reinstall Windows 10.

Having finally restored my laptop I now get the message " printer setting user interface stopped working" when I try the same (change a colour cartridge). There doesn't appear to be any successful solution posted on line or if there is i haven't found it.

I don't want to have to reinstall again, so is there a straightforward solution of work around?
