Windows 10: Printer spools down and spools back up before printing a second page in Quickbooks POS

So we had to get a new computer at work and being a small company I am pretty much tech support.

We use Quickbooks POS as our POS system and all the sudden our printer prints one page, spools down, spools up, and then prints the double.

Facts:

The computer is windows 10

The printer is a Canon LBP6030w


Tests:

1. I wanted to see it was something with the program so I tried to print something on my Laptop, (also windows 10,) the pages printed in line from the POS. I checked all the settings that can be changed in the normal menus and they were all the same.

2. I wanted to see if it was a setting so I viewed all the printer settings that you can see inside the printers and scanner menus and they are all identical to my laptop.

3. I restarted the POS.

4. I restarted the computer.

5. I restarted the printer.

6. Is a receipt the only thing that prints slow? I checked and reports print in line.

7. Does it do this when printing from a website? No still fine.

8. troubleshooting found no issue.


Is there some strange setting somewhere where the computer could be telling the printer these are two separate documents where it did not do that before and does not on my laptop still? It's not a crazy issue but 10 seconds is a long time when someone has what they came for and are ready to go and have even paid and you say let me just have you sign this then you just stand there.

Print Spooling Issue

I did as suggested, however, it would not let me uncheck "Spool print doc ..." and the "Print directly to printer" was faded out and wouldn't let me check it.

Any suggestions.

Printer unable to queue spool


I'm trying myself crazier. I've uninstalled all printers, plugged in my hp 8000 809a let it install it, rebooted but windows can not queue the spool. The HP drivers can easily talk to the printer and print out test pages, I can configure wireless and print from my android phone, I can print wirelessly from my win8.1 laptop but this win10 desktop refuses to spool a print.

Is it really stuck and need to stop the service and reset it even if I have already done 3 or 5 reboots? I am starting to think this is more a registry issue since there are not files in the spool folder....

 

Print Spooling Issue

Again I appreciate your help.

I opened the printer from the Start Menu; clicked on Print, Scan & Fax; customize printer; advanced and direct print is still dim and I can't unclick Spool Print.

I also went to "What's Printing for printer in question" clicked on printer; Properties; same issue.

By the way I can scan and copy, that why it has to be spooling right??
