Windows 10: Printer will not work with M S Publisher

G'day,

When I print everything apart from Publisher it works fine.

When I try and print my Labels using publisher it does not print. I receive a pop up saying my printer is off line. When I click Diagnose is say not on line. My printer is connected with a cable.

Please could somebody tell me what I need to do to be able to print my Labels. My printer is a Canon MP270. I have aske Canon and they told me to contact Microsoft as the printer is working.

What exactly you are referring to when you say “Home Publisher”?



I suggest you to follow the steps below to remove the printer:

• 
  Click on Windows key + R to open run command.
  
• 
  Type control
  to open control panel.
  
• 
  From this window, select
  Devices and Printers.
  
• 
  Right click on the printer
  and click Remove device.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  

Now go to the manufacturer website and install the latest drivers available.

How do I unblock a publisher in windows 10?

I have gone through the steps as suggested above BUT interestingly don't see an publisher listed under the "Untrusted Publishers" but still get the same error box as shared above.

!'m not sure how I did it but all seems well now. It was something like Deacon suggested plus a re-boot or two. It's now listed as a printer, not as unspecified.





Update the list still doesn't work.
