Windows 10: Printers Rendered Useless. Not Happy

Windows 10 did an update on my desktop. Now it has rendered my printer obsolete. updated the drivers for my Brother MFC-J410W and Xerox 6505 printers and they do not work. What is the status of a fix? I need to print. I think Microsoft should pay to purchase a new printer and supplies if they cannot print.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.
• Click on Hardware and Sound.
• Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.

Windows 10 update rendered my hp laserjet 1100 useless

Hello,

A windows ten update this past week rendered my hp laserjet 1100 useless. The printer is connected by a parallel cable and uses lpt1.

Does anyone have a solution?

Method 1: I suggest you to
install printer drivers in
compatibility mode and check if that helps.

Follow these steps.

a. Download the printer driver from the manufacturer’s website.

b. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’.

c. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7 /8/8.1operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the
issue persists.

Method 2: Run the troubleshooter to check for printer problems.
