Windows 10: Printing failure after cumulative updates to Win 10 v 1903 October 2019

After installing updates (KB 4517211 & 4522738) on 10/1 access to my printer on my local in-home network fails. Message says:

"Function address ..... (varies) caused a protection fault. (exception code 0xc0000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed."

It does not matter what program I try to print from.

I installed update KB 4524147 two days later (today, 10/3) and results are the same.

All other functions on the network work fine. I have re-installed the printer software and insured I have the latest software/firmware. The printer performs all other functions fine, including printing from a memory stick.

I have a HP desktop and laptop, and an ASUS laptop. The printer is a HP Officejet Pro 8740. These have all worked happily together for several years.

WHAT IS GOING ON? I doubt I am the only one having this problem. Where is the next update/fix?

Quality Updates fro Win 10 Version 1903

Hi there, for those that have successfully installed and running the May 2019 Win 10 Version 1903 Update, has anyone have more than these Quality/ Cumulative Updates?

1.Cumulative Update for Win 10 version 1903 for x64-based system ( KB4497935 )

2. Cumulative Update for Win 10 version 1903 x64-based system for Adobe Flash Player (KB4497932)

3. Cumulative Update for .Net Framework for Win 10 version 1903 for x64-based system (KB4495620)

4. Cumulative Update for Win 10 Version 1903 for x64-based system (KB4505293) -latest one installed today, June 12th 2019

These are the current Cumulative Updates for Win 10 Version 1903 I have received and successfully installed into three of my systems, beside the usual antivirus security Updates. Would be interested to hear from anyone who

might have more Cumulative Updates from the ones listed here

Update causing printing issues

2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512941) & 2019-08 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64 (KB4511555) updates has caused printing issues.
The computers can no longer print. How can I solve this.

You are missing an EFI partition too. Here's mine (1903) - note the 99Mb EFI partition:



- noting the Recovery partition is NTFS - not sure where the idea in that thread about FAT32 comes from.

Here are all the partitions - Disk Management omits the 16Mb one:




In the thread I quoted- not the most straightforward- it seems one basic step taken was to
a. Image 'C: '
b. Clean install Windows
c. Replace the new Windows partition by restoring it from the image created
d. (Note when rebooting, this may sort itself out via automated repair, or need Startup repair to be run)

you will find numerous references which may help.
