    Problem adding 2nd ssd


    I have an ssd for my boot drive, trying to add a 2nd ssd. The ssd is ok tested it externally with a USB adapter, but when I install it to my pc, it’s not showing in the bios or windows.

    tried known power supply and Sata lead, but still not showing.

    any ideas please

    How to view 2nd drive?


    as suggested by Steve (enssenbe). Open Admin Command Prompt and type:
    1. diskpart
    2. list disk

    is your SSD listed ?

    hey guys/gals
    so i am little rusty at this. i bought a 2nd SSD drive and connected in my pc. bios is recognizing it but when i go to windows in under my computer i can only see my 1st. what do I have to do to make it available? I do not want to format my 1st drive though.

    Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


    That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

    I suggest Option 1 is easier.

    If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
