Windows 10: Problem in View Update History

My wife's computer that I check monthly no longer has an update history.

When I view Update History there is no history but there was a little 'dot' that you could push for help.

When pushed that a window I think within the window opened with a title HELP and asked you to use it.


My wife's machine had just finished some lengthy windows updates but I do not know which were installed.

Is this a bug or a new facility within Windows 10 and is it likely to work well?

Windows 10 View Update History

There is no "View your update history" option in the Advanced option Window. Things have apparently changed since you posted this. Have another suggestion?

Unfortunately, there is no way to create a shortcut on the Desktop, to view the Windows 10 Update History.

To check the Windows Update History, then follow these steps, mentioned below:

• Type Windows update on the search bar, then, click on
  Check for updates tab.
• Click on Advanced option under Windows Update
  tab in the Update and Security Window.
• Click on View your update history in the
  Advanced option Window.
• Check, all the Windows update KB article numbers installed in the
  View your update history Window.

Yes i have this morning received my first update and it is showing up in "View Update History"

Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243)

So thank you for letting me know that Windows Defender Definition updates will no longer show up in "Update History" this clears the issue and i will mark this as solved....

Really appreciate everybody's help.
