Windows 10: Problem installing Software Including Microsoft Visual C++ 2005

Error message:


Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information.


I get this whenever i try to install software.. please help


what i've tried:

Method 2 If you receive a 1935 error when you try to install software, the Windows file system transaction log has become corrupted. The transaction log is used by the Windows file system to recover when a file error occurs. To correct this install error, you need to clear the log.


A. Open an Administrator command prompt: Press windows + X key then Command Prompt and select "Run as Administrator" and click "Allow" for the elevation prompt.


B. In the command prompt, type the command below:
fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\


This assumes that C: is the drive in which Windows 8.1 is installed. If it is installed on another drive like D: please change the drive letter appropriately.


C. Reboot the system.

To check follow the steps:

• Type Default programs & select programs & features.
• Check if Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
  is installed.

If yes suggest you to uninstall & reinstall Microsoft visual c++ 2005 x86
& check if the issue persists.

If the issue persists I would suggest you to contact the game manufacturer.

This issue might if the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package is not installed properly.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select
Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.

MSVCR110.dll is the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
dll that is needed for projects built with Visual Studio 2011.

This error appears when you are trying to run a software which require Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012. The redistributable can easily be downloaded on the Microsoft website as x86 or x64 edition depending on the software
you wish to install either 32 bit or 64 bit version.

c. After registering DLL files restart the computer and check if the changes are effective.
