  1. Problem reinstalling Microsoft Mail

Today, I clicked on the Mail app on my computer using my User ID. Nothing. So I uninstalled the Mail app.

I tried reinstalling it. I followed the instructions. The message was that I already had the app.

The app was in another User ID.

How do I reinstall the Microsoft mail app just for my user ID?I have Windows 10. Office version 18.2008.12711.0

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Problem reinstalling Microsoft Mail :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  4. Problem reinstalling Microsoft Mail

    Microsoft Edge and Mail programs

    John

I ran the steps to reinstall Windows 10 default apps after Defender showed no problems. I have my mail program back but instead of Edge I have Internet Explorer. Edge has got to be on this machine somewhere because when I clicked on a hyperlink in an e-mail
(that I trust) it opened in Edge. But I can't find edge in the programs.

If I click on start and type Microsoft Edge a list comes up with the Edge icon at the top and further down Edge is listed. I have tried right clicking and pinning to start but nothing happens. I have tried double left clicking to try to open but nothing
    happens.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks
