    PROBLEM REPORT; Win 10 Pro, x64, Build 10.0.18363.778 [Windows Defender will NOT start]


    PROBLEM: Windows Defender fails to start after updating from Build 10.0.18363.720 to Build10.0.18363.778

    1. Windows Defender fails to start both on reboot and when started manually.
    2. "Unknown Error" returned.
    3. Condition applicable on both Intel and AMD architectures.
    4. Is anyone else experiencing this condition?

    Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
