Windows 10: Problem updating from version 1909 to 20H2

As mentioned in the title, I constantly receive the Error 0x80070003


Downloading does not seem to be the issue but the installation.


I have already tried the following:


—Restarted Computer

—Ran troubleshooter it detected problems and restarted after that

—Temporarily Disabled Antivirus

—Media Creation Tool precommit.cmd error

—Update Assistant Error 0x80070003

—Command Prompt, ran as administrator, DISM command and sfc/ scannow There were no files that lost their integrity

—Command Prompt, ran as administrator, net stop wuauserv, C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, deleted all files within the Download folder, and then went back to prompt and net start wuauserv

—Command Prompt, ran as administrator, chkdsk/f C:, and restarted computer

—Win+R, services.msc, manually stopped Windows Update, C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, deleted all files within the Download folder, and restarted Windows Update manually


I have done all of the above and none of them still work. Is it problematic to still keep Windows at version 1909?

Updating Win 10 1909 to 20H2 directly, will there be any problems?

It is perfectly fine to update from version 1909 to version 20h2, no need to install version 2004, I just updated two of my laptops from 1909 and absolutely no problems on either, the update went smoothly on both

Updating Win 10 1909 to 20H2 directly, will there be any problems?

Hi, just got a new ssd installed, and my local vendor installed the 1809 version in my system. I updated the software to 1909 but there is no update for ver 2004 under Update and Security in settings. I couldn't find any update assistant of 2004, but the
one for 20H2 is available. Is it fine if I directly upgrade to ver 20H2? Will there be any issue or should I upgrade to 2004?

Tried all the steps listed and result afterwards is the same. Still fails and uninstalls the update. Any other suggestions?
