Windows 10: problem with KB4557957

Hi

I have a Brother HL-L2340DL printer and the MS update KB4557957 stops my printer working and Brother Helpdesk told me to delete the update which I did and the printer works works again.

BUT..... the update keeps coming back and I have to delete it - this all takes about 10 minutes when I want to work every couple of days.

Can anyone tell me how to get over this problem AND tell MS to look at this, because I imagine that there must be thousands of people like me with the same printer and problem.

Or am I stuck with this problem?

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

Run HDtune (free version) on you hard drive. but most likely that the problem. You can also test your memory with Memtest86 as suggested above
