Windows 10: Problem with mic

All of the sudden my pc stopped recognizing when I am talking in the microphone. I’ve used this microphone and headset combination for a while and it worked perfectly well before. I tried to fix it myself, for exm. I unplugged it and tested computer mic but it also didn’t recognize what I was saying. So the problem is in the pc because the headset works fine

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

im having the same problem as well, gone through all the steps listed but still no luck unfortunately.
If anyone finds a solution please post it up

 

Headset mic not working

This might occur when some of the mic setting got corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Recording audio troubleshooter.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the Search area on the taskbar and select
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Select Recording Audio under
  Sound and follow the on screen.
