    Ditendra, I have run into this problem a few times and it wasn't just with the snipping tool. I have also had this problem with pictures I've downloaded to the desktop. If I went to file explorer and looked in the desktop folder they were there. When I looked at the desktop they didn't show. I never did find out why this only happens sometimes.

    I think you still didn't get what problem I'm facing, maybe I explained bad, English isn't my native language, anyway, It's okay mate, don't worry about it.

    Yes I understood before, you need to REFRESH your desktop to see the screen shot that you just took. But I don't know how to fix the desktop to make it show without refreshing your screen. I'm sorry. *Sad

    I save all mine in my picture folder, then just go to that folder and they are always there. That is easier for me. Again I'm sorry I couldn't help you with this problem.

    I have exactly the same problem, I have to "refresh" it or use windows explorer to locate that "Capture" file on desktop. its really annoying, I use snipping tool alot.

    Problem With Snipping Tool & Desktop

    Interesting note in the update for new Insider Version that it fixes a bug so that things pasted to desktop will now appear automatically instead of having to refresh screen. Sounds a lot like this issue. I will test it.

    That is interesting news cereberus!! Let us know what you find. But even if its fixed, it will be while for non-insiders to get this fix I would suppose?? Thanks for this news thou. *Smile

    Well, I cannot reproduce issue even with 10586. I select to save the capture.png to desktop and it just appears as it should do.

    So obviously not a general bug.

    No idea why it does not work for OP.

    Well must be, or MS wouldn't include it in the latest insider build.....funny I never tried it on mine, cause I don't like that way. I suppose I could try it once. *Smile

    Update: Just tried saving to my desktop, didn't show, until I hit refresh F5 key. *Smile

    For me it's random. Most of the time I don't have any problem when saving a pic to the desktop.

    It works fine but I cannot really say if the bug has been fixed as I never had it in first place.
