    Problem with start-up apps


    Recently and for seemingly no reason many of my apps have not been launching on startup and have disappeared from the startup page in task manager. Some of these include discord, steam and ghub. A few apps are still there but many are not. Does anyone know why this would be and how to fix it? Thanks.

    Hi Tamal,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    1. Is Cortana able to search the apps installed?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • Type Start Settings in Search and hit
      Enter.
    • Turn on Show recently added apps in jump list of Start of Taskbar.

    Problem with start-up apps

    Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

    That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

    I suggest Option 1 is easier.

    If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
