    Problem with the new keyboard language switching menu


    Hello,
    So I've upgraded to the 1903 win 10 version and I've had an encounter with one of the new features - the menu that lets you switch between keyboard languages when you hold Alt + LShift. The main problem is that this menu pops up in games and it is really annoying.


    Is there any way I could stop that menu from showing, but keep my keyboard combination to switch between languages?

    Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum. I will certainly help you with this.

    Have you added Portuguese language to the keyboard?

    Follow the steps:

    • Click/tap Change PC settings.
    • Click/tap on the Time and Language.
    • Click/tap on the Region and language.
    • Under "Languages" click/tap on the Add languages.
    • Choose your language
    • Now you have two languages on your Keyboard.
    • To make new language the main language tap the new language and tap on "Set as primary".
    • To switch between keyboard languages use the shortcut Shift +
      Alt.

    Problems with language menu

    Hello,

    Just to clarify, are you still having problems switching the Windows 10 language? Or is the deletion of the language the only concern? If its the deletion, have you already tried these steps:

    • Press Windows key on your keyboard, then type Region and language settings on the Cortana search box, and then press the search result.
    • Under Languages, Click English (United Kingdom) then click
      Remove.
    • Verify if the language is removed.

    The extra keyboard layout keep adding to my language bar (with Pics)

    Hi Panupong,

    The updated Windows 10 may have detected your language, the reason why it automatically gave you the other Thai US keyboard. To correct this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Click on the Start Menu, type in region and language settings and select it.
    • Under Languages, select Thai Kedmanee keyboard and click Remove.
    • Lastly, add it back by clicking Add a language.

    After these steps, your keyboard layout will permanently stay with Thai Kedmanee keyboard.

    Let us know if the steps above resolved your issue.
