Problem with Windows 10 pro 1803 and Closing/stealthing ports 21/443

    Hello,

    Issue 1:

I have a potentially very serious issue. After the update of 1803 I am unable to close/stealth ports 443 and 21. Why are these open by default on version 1803.

I have tried closing them with PrivateFirewall and windows 10 firewall via custom rules. I used GRC Shields up to do a port scan. I scanned this pc using nmap from another computer running gentoo.

I have attatched some screenshots of the windows firewall rule which is not doing anything. I have included the private firewall screenshot which is not doing anything. I have included GRC Shields up port scan to show the results. Has anyone experienced this and did anyone find a resolution minus buying a hardware firewall?

I did not have this issue in 1709. I have reinstalled 2x.

    Issue2:

I am experiencing a strange error in 1803 when trying to uninstall some network adapter connection items (screenshot included):

    Error 0x80071779.

Things I have tried minus going into the registry and doing it manually:

-Complete removal/Install manufacturer drivers vs Microsofts.

-Appears even after complete reinstall of the OS without making modifications to the OS.

If I cannot resolve these important issues I will have to go back to a previous version of windows.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.

    How to Stealth Port 139?

I installed COMODO Firewall instead, all ports, inc 139 is now STEALTH!

For some reason using only W10 Firewall leaves port 139 UN-Stealthed.

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

i've seen this when the stock USB drivers went kaput. Only ever seen it once - i used a PCI USB 2.0 card and connected the mouse and keyboard to that, and manually updated the USB 2/USB 3 drivers.
