Windows 10: Problem with Windows 10 Update on 6/12/2020

Starting on June 12th after my laptop Inspiron 15 5000 auto-installed an update, my built-in microphone stopped working properly. The microphone didn't stop picking up sound completely, but wouldn't pick up my voice above a certain level, such that all of my friends on Discord said I sounded extremely quiet and they could barely hear me. Usually I have had no problems with the Windows updates so I figured it was a problem somewhere in my audio settings. I have 2 kittens that walk on my keyboard all the time so I thought maybe they had messed with the settings accidentally. However, after researching and trying out every "fix" the internet suggested, the microphone still wasn't working properly. I went back and uninstalled the update from June 12th and found that the microphone was now working perfectly. I hate being behind on updates since I don't want other aspects of my computer to fall out of date, but for now I had to turn auto-update off since my computer re-installed the faulty update. Is Microsoft aware of this problem and working to fix it at all, or will I have to keep auto-update off?

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

latest windows update 6/12

after the newest windows update on 6/12/18 all 4 of my windows 10 machines keep saying they need to restart....have restarted each multiple times in last few days. any suggestions?
