  1. Problem with WindowsApp folder.

So i have the Xbox App for windows and it installs all my games under the WindowsApp fold under my different hard drives that i use. The problem i am having is that i cannot modify/move anything in this folder. Yes i have already tried to change the ownership of the files to my account (I use a microsoft account to sing into my PC so the account name is my email used). I have changed ownership and added full control over the files and it STILL tells me i need to get access permission from "DESKTOP-16H3CRG\Shane" to make changes to these files. So yeah, that is me and i do not see that user listed under the advanced securities area and i have also tried to add that user with zero luck. Even tho is shows that my signed in microsoft account (which is an administrator and the ONLY user account on this pc) is the current owner of these files, i still cannot do a damn thing to them.

So can someone please tell me how to fix this incredibly stupid problem that windows has added in order to annoy the heck out of us even more. I ask because i need to change a couple game files in order to stop intro cinematics from playing every time i start the game.

    :)

WindowsApps folder says permissions are corrupted and need to be deleted, is this normal or critical?

According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Navigate to the location C:\Program Files.
    2. Right-click on the WindowsApps folder, and select Properties.
    3. Turn to Security tab and click on Advanced.
    4. Click on Change and then type Users in Enter the object name to select area.
    5. Click on OK, then click Apply > OK. You can also add the TrustedInstaller to the users list and check if it takes effect.

However, you might be still not able to access the files. The workaround is to go inside the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\, and repeat the same way with the Microsoft.WindowsStore* folders.
