Windows 10: Problem with wireless adapter or access point

I was unable to find an answer to this problem in the forum, but I did find something on my own and wanted to post it in case it helps others. I was unable to reply in the already existing thread.


My new laptop kept dropping off of the wifi network randomly. I would run a trouble shooter and it would fix the issue only to drop off the network again. And on and on. Nothing I tried worked. I was getting the error "Problem with wireless adapter or access point." When I checked the wireless adapter in the device manager, it said the driver was up to date. BUT, when I looked up my driver on Intel's site, it listed a newer version of the driver than the one I had. Why the checker in my device manager thought I already had the current one I do not know. So, I used the Driver & Support Assistant on the Intel site and was able to download the updated driver and install. So far, the problem has not returned. Hopefully, that was the issue.

Problem with the Wireless Adapter or access point

I have upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, since 22 August 2015 from Window 7 Professional. My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad Y570.

The problem that I am phasing since I have upgraded concerns the wireless adapter. Every time that I start up my laptop is unable to connect to the wireless network of my home so I have to lunch troubleshooting which gives me the following results:

The "Local Area Connection 2" adapter is not working properly - Detected

Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Fixed

Every time I have to do this and then my laptop can connect to the wireless network.



Please tell me how to permanently resolve this issue.

Kindly write your answer as simply and detailed as possible so that I can follow the steps.

I am having problems with my wireless connection and troubleshoot fixes the Problem with wireless adapter or Access point but after some time windows tries to connect
to internet and troubleshoots the same problem over and over and it happens when i talk to my friend via Skype or by playing an online game.
