Windows 10: Problems after the May 2021 Windows Update

How do I reinstall a game downloaded from the Microsoft Store without losing my standings, levels, or points? When I try to open the game, I get a dark screen with the words "Click for Exit" in the top left side of the screen. Then it looks like the game is loading, but when it reaches 100%, the game closes.Any Suggestions?Ruth Smith

Windows Update Manager not updating

Available updates:
· 2021-03 Cumulative Update for Win 10 ver. 20H2 (K8500080) Status: Down loading – 0 %
· 2021-01 Update for Windows 10 ver. 20H2 (KB4023057) Statue: Pending install

If you were in this situation, what would you do to get the Update Manager to make these updates?

• There is 43.8 GB available disk space.
• Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool completed successfully
• Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

What do you think is the cause of the problem?
What steps should be taken to solve the problem?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
