Problems Creating Directory's and copying file on to a NAS synology drive

    Hello

I have a problem with windows 10 explorer and my network share on a NAS synology. The issue is that it can not create a new directory with a name I want or able to copy files.

Reading and deleting and creating a blank default new directory is fine.

I go in to windows file explorer, go to the network drive and say just create a new directory.

It creates the new Directory which is good.

Trying to rename it and it come up with the error of "Problem Copying" i thought i was ranameing it - anyway "an error has occurred - The destination you have specified does not exist. It might be an offline network location or an empty CD or DVD drive. Check the location and try again"

The issue is the same even if I access the NAS through the mapped network drive D: Etienne \\192.168.1.10\Etienne or if I use the direct network path \\192.168.1.10\Etienne

It behave like this with both wired or wireless connection.

But what is extremely strange is that it only happen after a "cold start". Once I reboot the computer, everything work like a charm.

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Problems Creating Directory's and copying file on to a NAS (synology) drive

    Hello

I have a problem with windows 10 fire explorer and my network hard drive NAS synology hard drive. The fault is that it can not create a new directory with a name I want or able to copy files.

Reading and deleting and creating a blank default new directory is fine.

I go in to windows file explorer, go to the network drive and say just create a new directory.

It creates the new Directory which is good.

Trying to rename it and it come up with the error of "Problem Copying" (i thought i was ranameing it - anyway) "an error has occurred - The destination you have specified does not exist. It might be an offline network location or an empty CD or DVD drive.
Check the location and try again"

    Tried different option like

a new user in my synology drive.

    tried a wired connection.

    tried a Wireless connection.

now looking at other option like a different router, or is it just a windows fault?

    Thanks in advance.
