  1. Problems with cumulative updates LTSB 2016

    Hi,

I've tried all but upgrade (is not a good option as it is a certified device), all cumulative updates fail and are rollback automatically. I've tried the solutions in othe threads but as are as old as one year, anyone was able to solve it lately?

Edit: I add more detail as kindly requested . Windows 10 1607 LTSB 2016, fresh installed in both HP 840G1 and HP 8300 SFF. Nothing special on hardware or software, normal updates are working fine, cumulative always fails, after reboot around 90% it rollback the changes. Tried with several cumulatives, both from 2018 and 2019.

    Thanks!

  2. Question about Windows 10 LTSB 2016 updates

When I search for Windows 10 LTSB by product name, in software updates, it only pulls Windows 10 LTSB 2015

I don’t see any updates for Windows 10 LTSB 2016. What’s the best way to query and find updates for Windows 10 LTSB 2016 in SCCM?

No Updates for LTSB since 1-15

it looks like you are using Win10 LTSB 2016 (v1607) as Windows Update is listing some updates to the 1607 LTSB release.

the previous LTSB release was the 2015 version (the v1507 or RTM release of Win10 LTSB)

Problems with cumulative updates LTSB 2016

Cannot apply security updates to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB

I installed Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB on a new HP computer. The install went fine and I updated all the drivers. Now I want to get the latest security update. I downloaded the 64 bit version of KB4019474
(May 5, 2017 cumulative security update) but it would not install, says "The update is not applicable to your computer".

I borrowed a WiFi adapter and connected to the office Wifi. It activated automatically. It says
it is activated with a digital license. We tried to apply KB4019474 again and it again said no. We tried to update and it said it could not connect to the update service.

I used the same WiFi adapter and connected a older HP workstation that has 2015 LTSB to the office WiFi. It was able to get to the update service and download the latest Windows Defender definitions.

Why can't I get updates from the PC with the 2016 LTSB OS?
