Windows 10: Problems with Installing the latest Windows upgrade 1903

I've tried multiple times to update to the new version but to no success.

I can't use the Media Creation Tool because my system does not have enough disk space and this tool does not enable me to use removeable storage.


When I run the Update it completes the download and the install stages (and allows me to add a USB with more storage for it to use) and then it reboots and then it shows a blue screen and says it is updating but it never moves beyond 0 and I've let it run for hours and overnight. So frustrating! I've gotten various error messages but it is just not doing anything when it gets to the update stage.


I've run the Troubleshooter and it has fixed issues and I've tried again but I get the same result.


Any ideas of how to get this to work?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Your suggested actions are very technical - hardly for 'the man in the street'

If I understand correctly, in simple terms, you are suggesting changing the path/method of obtaining the 1903 update but still installing it anyway -

Surely if the problem is actually with the 1903 update then the result will be the same problems irrespective of how it is applied?

Please could you clarify in simple terms, step by step, what your suggested actions actually do and how this may solve the problem.
