Problems with reinstalling the Network adapter

    Hello,

My computer is Asus E200HA, Windows 10 Home, 64 Bit.

Since yesterday I had a problem with connecting to Internet.

At some point the wireless icon in the notification area indicated that there are no wireless networks around me - a red circle with white cross.

(Other devices in the same place connected well.)

I opened the Device Manager/Network adapters, and saw that my adapter (Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377) is not in the list.

I clicked to show hidden devices, and it reappeared.

But it was written in the properties that the adapter is not connected to the computer (Code 45 error).

Actualization of the driver (and other simple tricks) didn't help, and so I decided to deinstall/reinstall the adapter.

So I chose "deinstall", then performed "Scan for hardware changes", and rebooted.

I expected to see the adapter in the Device Manager in some way, but it disappeared totally - I don't see it when i ask to show the hidden devices or when I scan for hardware changes.

So I'd like to ask for help:

What should I do in order to reinstal the adapter?

And what should I do next in order to "connect it to the computer"?

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

    Issues with network adapters

    Hi Alfonso,

To resolve this issue, we suggest that you run the Network troubleshooter when you switch from WiFi to Ethernet connection. The Network troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix common connection problems including clearing the network cache to obtain a new
IP from the new network. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • In the search box on the taskbar, type Identify and repair network problems, and then select
Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If the issue persists, kindly try the troubleshooting steps on the following link:

Fix network connection issues in Windows 10
    .

We recommend that you try the steps on the Update the network adapter driver,
Run the Network troubleshooter followed by networking commands, and Use network reset to reinstall network devices sections.

Let us know how it goes for us to assist you further.

Problems with reinstalling the Network adapter

    Network adapter

    Hi Ryan,

Let's work on this together. Have you restarted your device since then? This should reinstall the network adapters automatically. If it didn't, let's perform the Network reset.
It removes any network adapters you have installed and the settings for them. After your PC restarts, any network adapters are reinstalled, and the settings for them are set to the defaults.
    Follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings > Network & Internet >
      Status
      > Network reset.
    • On the Network reset screen, select Reset now > Yes.
    • Wait for your PC to restart and see if that fixes the problem.

    Please advise as necessary.
